Resilience requires a foundation.
The capacity to absorb stress and recover fully is not unlimited. It draws from biological systems that have to be maintained, supported, and protected. When those systems are functioning correctly, stress makes you stronger. Your body absorbs the stress, repairs the damage, and comes back with more capacity. When they are not, the same stress accumulates. Each hard week compounds on the last one.
Most people know exactly what this feels like: energy becomes less reliable. Sleep stops restoring the way it used to. Stress hits harder than it should. Life feels continuously harder over time.
